I’ve been craving more color in my toy box! So when Good Vibrations sent me the Rippler Mini in teal, I did a happy dance. This bright beauty is definitely eye catching, but how does it deliver?
The Rippler Mini is a vibrating dildo made by Pleasure Works. It is made of 100% silicone and is waterproof. It is available in two color choices – teal and black. Upon close inspection, there is light glitter in the color (at least in the teal).
This toy is packaged in a recyclable box that boasts large pictures of the toy on the front and back. The side panels give additional information on the dildo. The top is held closed with three tabs and opens easily.
Inside the box, the dildo and bullet are in individual clear plastic sleeves. Upon opening, the bullet needs to be unscrewed to remove the tiny paper in the battery area (this kept it from being turned on accidentally before purchase). The bullet requires three watch batteries, which are included.
The Rippler Mini measures 5 1/2″ long with a girth of 1 5/8″ at it’s widest point. It is widest at the base and tapers down the shaft. The shaft has ridges for increased sensation and a slight curve for g spot/prostate stimulation. It is firm, smooth, and can flex to touch the tip to the base without much effort.
This dildo turns vibrator when you slip in the waterproof bullet that is included. The bullet is black and has a velvety soft finish. It features a black push button on the end that turns it on and off. It has one speed of vibration – high constant buzz.
Like a nice compact car, it offers a solid comfy ride without all the bells and whistles of the luxury line. I like the ridged shaft and the added sensations it created during thrusting. I felt the vibrations all the way through the dildo (strongest toward the base). The slight curve did nothing for my g spot but was quite comfortable. Overall, it is a good simple dildo with a bit of buzz.
The wide base makes it great for use with a harness. It has a funneled hole in the bottom of the base to hold the bullet. I was able to slide the bullet in place easily, but removing it is a real pain. Since the hole is inset a little ways into the base, it makes it really hard to get a grip on the bullet to pull it out. It then has to be shimmied out bit by bit until it finally pops out like a cork.
For those who want more, this toy has a larger counterpart available – the Rippler. It measures 7 1/4″ long and 1 7/8″ at it’s widest point.
As with all silicone toys, I recommend using a good water-based lubricant. Sliquid is one of my favorites!
Cleanup is simple. It can be wiped down with a bleach solution, thrown in the top rack of the dishwasher (no soap), or cleaned with your favorite toy cleaner. It can also be boiled. Be sure to remove the bullet prior to boiling or dishwasher – these two methods are only for the silicone dildo.
Pros: body safe, fun color, easy to clean
Cons: hard to remove bullet
Score: 6 out of 10
