I have toyed around with light impact play, but never a paddle. When I opened up the Plunge Paddle, I did what any eager paddle virgin would do… I hit myself with it to see what it felt like. Note to self: quality impact toys like this have a bite!

The Plunge Paddle is a combo paddle and penetrative toy made by Tantus. It is hypoallergenic, non-toxic, phthalate free, and odorless. It is made of their unique blend of 100% ultra-premium silicone. This toy is available in one color, black.

The packaging for the Plunge Paddle is a simple clear plastic sleeve that is sealed on both ends. A piece of plastic twine tied through a small hole in the end holds two rectangular tags. This hole can later be used to hang up your paddle if you like. The top tag is thick flexible plastic with the Tantus logo (quite nice) and the bottom tag tells a little about the paddle. The plastic tears open easily and the twine holding the tags easily comes untied, all without the need for scissors. I love easy to open packaging!

The Plunge Paddle has a smooth flat paddle on one end with a handle that doubles as an insertable dildo. The handle features a smooth shaft with a bulbous head and slight curve for g-spot/p-spot stimulation. A ridge protrudes along the top of the shaft, ensuring a good grip and comfortable hold. The paddle measures .25″ thick, just over 3″ wide, and 6.25″ long. The insertable length is 6″ with a diameter of 1.25″. The Plunge Paddle measures a total of 13″ from end to end.

The paddle end is very flexible, easily bending to touch the middle of the shaft. The shaft is quite firm and only flexes slightly. The material feels buttery soft to the touch.

One of the great things about silicone paddles is that they don’t muffle the vibrations like some other materials. This paddle delivers blows that have quite a sting with little effort required. Some say that Tantus paddles are best suited for those more experienced with impact play, but I feel that beginners (like myself) can easily enjoy them too. The key is to try it on yourself prior to spanking someone else in order to get a feel for the level of force and subsequent sting created. I really like the versatility of the Plunge Paddle. Being able to go from spanking to penetration without having to search for another toy is a beautiful thing. It is not harness or suction cup compatible.

I really like the Plunge Paddle, both as a paddle and as a dildo. As a dildo, this has become my new favorite g-spot toy. The curve and bulbous head gave me the g-spot orgasm that has been eluding me. It doesn’t boast a large girth, but it is sleek and accurate. As with most Tantus dildos, it is quite firm. I found it easiest to hold it at the base of the handle where it meets the paddle. When I held it on the paddle itself, it flexed too much during thrusting. I was glad to find that the hole through the end didn’t catch or drag against me, presumably because the edges are smooth and rounded in. As a paddle, this was a wonderful first experience for me. It didn’t take much effort or force to create a stinging blow that quickly left my ass a lovely shade of red.

I recommend using a water-based lubricant for penetration with this toy. Some of the research I have done says it is okay to use silicone lube on silicone toys. Other research suggests that using silicone lube on silicone toys over time can erode the surface of the toy and make it nonporous (therefore not body safe).

The Plunge Paddle can be washed with antibacterial soap and water, toy cleaner, or cleaned with a 10% bleach solution. It can also be boiled, but may be difficult to find a pot that the length can fit into. You can even throw it in the top shelf of the dishwasher (no soap please). While these things make clean up pretty simple, the small hole in the insertable end can be a bit more tricky to get bodily fluids and lube out of. I, like many others, wish this hole was nonexistent. You may ask why would Tantus even put this hole there. According to Ducky Doolittle it is there thanks to merchandising. My suggestion is to rinse it immediately after use to help prevent anything crusting up in the tiny hole. I used a clean mascara wand to clean inside  and it did the trick. I have also heard that a pipe cleaner or q-tip can work too.

If you are looking for a dildo with this exact size and shape minus the paddle, check out the Sport by Tantus!
